چکیده
The objective of this study was to describe the diurnal pattern grazing behaviour multi-parous dairy cows divergent for milk urea N breeding values (MUNBV) and consistency these differences across different sward compositions (perennial ryegrass [RG; Lolium perenne L.] or with plantain [Plantago lanceolata L.; RGPL]) stages lactation (early late lactation). Jaw movement recorders were fitted 24 animals in early 16 lactation, 12 assigned diet diet, 8 remaining diet. For each half during both classified as high MUNBV other low MUNBV. Low had more mastications per bite over day (P < 0.01) a one-unit decrease resulting 0.07 bites mastication first two bouts, well temporal distribution bouts compared cows. Effect of Milk Urea Nitrogen of Dairy Cows in Relation to Breed
Milk urea nitrogen (MUN) of dairy cows was determined in relation to breed. A total of forty (40) Pabna and red Chittagong dairy cattle each of twenty (20) were selected to know the milk composition, nutritional status and milk urea nitrogen. Live weight of Pabna Cattle (187±14 kg) was higher than that of red Chittagong cattle (174±4 kg). In Pabna cattle milk yield (4.94 kg), minerals (0.15%) a...
متن کاملFactors associated with milk urea concentrations in Ontario dairy cows.
All DHI test-day data, including milk urea concentrations measured by infrared test method, were collected from 60 commercial Ontario Holstein dairy herds for a 13-mo period between December 1, 1995, and December 31, 1996. The objectives of this study were to describe the relationships between milk urea concentrations and seasonal factors, sampling factors, cow factors, and test-day production ...
متن کاملApplication of Milk Urea Nitrogen Values
In dairy cows, dietary crude protein (CP) that can is not captured as milk protein is largely excreted as N in manure. Of course, some protein-N is retained for growth in first and second lactation animals and in the calf and fetal tissues during pregnancy; however, these amounts are small relative to the proportion of absorbed N going into milk. Cows and other mammals convert N from absorbed a...
متن کاملImproving nitrogen use efficiency of dairy cows in relation to urea in milk – a review
Dietary protein intake is the most important factor determining milk production, milk composition, milk nitrogen efficiency, urinary nitrogen losses, urea content in milk and consequently, ammonia emissions from dairy cow manure. According to the nutrition requirements two main protein sources are available for cows: rumen degradable protein, provided to the animal through ruminally synthesized...
متن کاملGenetic relationship between milk urea nitrogen and reproductive performance in Holstein dairy cows.
The objective of this study was to describe the genetic and phenotypic relationship between milk urea nitrogen (MUN) and reproductive traits in Iranian Holstein dairy cows. Test-day MUN data obtained from 57 301 dairy cows on 20 large dairy herds in Iran between January 2005 and June 2009. Genetic parameters for MUN and reproductive traits were estimated with a five-trait model using ASREML pro...
